Our journey began with our values. We are creative, not afraid, respectful, positive, supportive, accessible, continuously growing, and dedicated to empowering women. We believe every entrepreneur should have access to the tools and resources they need to succeed in business. But Gluily didn’t start as a business. It started as a response.​ When a family member became seriously ill, she had to stop working. Medical bills kept rising, and financial support was nowhere to be found. So she turned to what she could do with her hands—selling her handmade crafts to make ends meet. It wasn’t easy. Her physical limitations made the work slow and painful. And every time she applied for funding or assistance, she was turned down. Still, she kept going. She learned best business practices, refined her craft, and slowly built something of

her own. Along the way, she realized her struggle wasn’t unique. Other women—especially minority women—were facing the same barriers. The same closed doors. The same quiet exhaustion. Then came the pandemic. Another woman in our family lost her job. In the uncertainty that followed, she began taking courses that would allow her to work from home—learning design, strategy, and digital tools. One day, after talking with the rest of us, she said, “You all know how to start a business. I know design. Let’s team up—and help other minority women do the same.” That was the spark. Gluily was born from shared experience, shared struggle, and shared hope. A family of women came together to build something that could make the process feel lighter, clearer, and more aligned—for others like us.
